I pad Apps

During this hectic week I got a chance to look at some different apps for the I Pad. I believe it depends on what grade level and subject you teach as I found may useful ones for the I pad. If I was teaching younger students or ELL students the alphabet, there is an app that is called Alphabet Fun where kids learn the alphabet, numbers and colors and can trace the alphabet and write  entire words. If I was teaching Science, Biology there is an app that teaches you about the Periodic table. On this app you can study the elements and see them in 3D and twist and turn each element to get a better view.  Entire books, magazines can be downloaded on the I pad for an easy read later and for the younger children you can download books that as they move their fingers across the words the book is read to them.
I believe there are so many great apps for the I Pad it is hard to choose just one and go with that but there are several that can be utilized in your classroom on a daily basis. Here is just a quick overview of some many different available apps that also gives you an in depth look at some of the ones I described.  http://www.apple.com/ipad/apps-for-ipad/
